I LOVE chocolate

Posted by Bonnie St John No Comments »

I LOVE chocolate, and when I learned that there is healthy and guilt-free chocolate that I could eat every day, I became very excited.  Today, I am not only enjoying chocolate as a food source, I am also benefiting from the health it brings to me from it’s very high antioxidant value.  You do not have to have health problems; everybody needs antioxidants in their diet regularly.  I hope you try it for yourself.

Magnesium - the mineral your heart needs

Posted by Bonnie St John No Comments »

Is dark chocolate good for your heart? Research by Dr. Bernard Jensen indicates that the heart muscle requires these two minerals more than any other minerals: magnesium and potassium. In the heart muscle Magnesium is concentrated eighteen times greater than in the bloodstream. When heart problems occur, magnesium is the most likely mineral to be missing in the person’s diet. The overall strength and vigor of the heart muscle and its ability to pump effectively is enhanced by the presence of magnesium, and this important mineral also decreases blood coagulation and thus can lower blood pressure.

Cocoa beans and organic dark chocolate are one of the best food
sources of this heart-supporting mineral, Magnesium.

Very few people are aware of the enormous role magnesium plays in our
bodies. After oxygen, water, and basic food, magnesium may be the most
important element needed by our bodies. So vitally important, yet hardly known. Magnesium is by far the most important mineral in the body, activating over 300 different biochemical reactions in your body all necessary for your body to function properly.

Magnesium is more important than calcium, potassium or sodium and regulates all three of them. When we get too low on oxygen, water or food, the consequences are serious. Yet, we often don’t realize the consequences of magnesium deficiency.

The Improper use of magnesium among health professionals and the population in general, is deeply responsible for many of the failures encountered daily in treating chronic health conditions nationwide.

90-95% of the population is deficient, including many of those what already supplement it. Why? Due to the misleading information presented in common magnesium texts. As a result, magnesium remains largely misunderstood, largely misused and the problem goes on undetected.

Did you know that without sufficient magnesium you would actually die? Your heart will stop beating and the doctors will then call it a “heart attack” (#1 cause of death in America). Never do they say, “He dies from a Magnesium Deficiency.”

This is how critical it is to have proper magnesium levels in the body. The early signs of
such terminal extinction are racing heart-beats, or any unusual change in heart beats, angina pains, collapsing from exhaustion after heavy physical exercise or work such as running a race, playing football or basket ball. Due to lack of magnesium the heart muscle develops a spasm or cramp and stops beating. this is because there is
insufficient magnesium to relax the heart ready for the next contraction. Irregular heartbeats are also caused by magnesium deficiency. This may be the answer why so many young athletes are having heart attack for no known reason.

How can chocolate be healthy?

Posted by Bonnie St John No Comments »

Healthy Chocolate?  What a concept, wouldn’t we all love to eat our chocolate, have it taste like candy and know that it is healthy for us.  That’s what this blog is all about.

There is one company that has figured it out, in other words, they have created a healthy chocolate that is now a food, not a candy.  How can that be?  How can cocoa be good for us.  We have been taught that candy is bad for us, which is true, we cannot eat it every day and feel good.  After the sugar high, we are let down.

MXI corporation has created a chocolate food in the form of nuggets, cookies, protein bars and more.  The reason it is different and better is because of these facts:·

  • cold-processed cacao bean, not over 110 degrees·
  • extremely high in anti-antioxidants·
  • no caffeine, preservatives, fillers, waxes, processed sugar, or trans fats·
  • diabetic-friendly·
  • high in fiber·
  • boosts sense of well-being·
  • increases energy·
  • high in magnesium·
  • decreases blood pressure

It’s no secret that America’s favorite snacks are simply not healthy – they’re loaded with processed sugars and flours, high-fructose corn syrup, unhealthy fats, hydrogenated oils, and other artificial ingredients.  Experts point to the plethora of snack foods that populate both our store shelves and our own pantry shelves as primary culprits in the rising rates of obesity, diabetes, heart disease and other lifestyle diseases.  Unhealthy cookies and chocolate are a big part of this problem.
